Certificate in Contemplative End-of-Life Care
The certificate offers you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the practice and integration of contemplative methods; to connect with your own resources of well-being and wholeness while expanding your professional skills and knowledge.
In order to be certified, participants must have experience in a professional or volunteer capacity in caring for patients or clients, and completed all three of our professional modules:
Module Cultivating Compassionate Presence (CCP)
Module Mindfulness and Awareness in End-of-Life Care (MAC)
Module Authentic Presence Immersion (API)
The modules can be taken in any sequence. The certification process can take one to two years to complete.
The CCP and MAC modules are offered as 8-week online courses. They are also offered as in-person workshops in Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, UK, and the US. Please visit our event page for upcoming workshops.
API is currently offered in the US and Ireland as a 8-day residential session.
CE Contact Hours
All three course, API, CCP and MAC have been approved for continuing education contact hours by the Association of Professional Chaplains and by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 15607.
The Association for Death Education and Counseling® has deemed this program as counting toward the continuing education requirements for the ADEC CT and FT program.
API 2019 has been approved for GP credits and study leave days.
The fee for each of the 8-week professional online training is $295.
The fee for the 8-day residential training, Authentic Presence Immersion varies from country to country. Currently, the residential training is offered in Ireland and the US. Please check the next upcoming Authentic Presence Immersion for more details here.
Online Course for Family Caregivers
The fee for our 8-week online course for family caregivers, Caring for Others, Caring for Ourselves is $99.
